Replacement Phone SIM Card Issues

I just got a replacement phone for some tech issues on my old one and when I took the SIM card out and put it in my new one, my old phone locked up and put a PIN on it that I don't know so I can't access it at all and after 6 attempts at trying anything I can think of I still can't get in and in 4 attempts it says it's going to wipe all personal data and do a factory reset. Also I'm having an issue where I'm only receiving texts from certain numbers and I'm not sure why. I can get texts from my brother but not my girlfriend and some other random people. I know it's not a verizon thing because I have gotten messages from AT

Sounds like you need to put a SIM in the old phone to access it.

mIsplayer,  Look no further help is here! Are you trying to access something from the phone that is being replaced? If you put the sim card back on the old phone are you able to access the device?   In regards to the text messages you are not receiving, are they coming from other carriers?
