My sim card is in won't let me text or call says it is not there

Which phone model do you have? Have you tried reseating the SIM card?

I've removed it and put it back. How do I reset it

SIM cards are free at corporate Verizon stores, and they can get corrupted.  Have it replaced, at a store or call customer support to send you a new one.
