Trouble making and receiving calls

Has anyone else experienced issues making and receiving calls recently?  After spending an hour chatting, Verizon finally fixed it by having me uninstall Google updates in the Google app  This was not a permanent fix, but it helps for now.  Here is an article on it.  I had to do this twice now so I shut off auto updates.

Worked!!! After spending all day trying to fix it, I can finally make phone calls. Thx!
