I recently upgraded to a Galaxy S5 from a Stratosphere. I've found that basically texts just don't send. It takes me multiple tries spaced out over a few hours to get them to send, and it takes me about the same amount of time to receive them. I constantly have 2 or 3 bars of connection to the mobile network. Additionally, because of the house I live in, I commonly have to rely on Wi-Fi like I have in the past. However I've noticed that the connection to both 4G and Wi-Fi on this phone is drastically crappier than on my previous phone. What I mean by that is most of the time the Wi-Fi just doesn't connect, it fails to obtain an ip address. Most of the time 4G is not available as well. My Wi-Fi has not changed and my house also did not just magically grow more sheets of metal that would be blocking service that I previously had. I'd be much obliged if anyone knows how this can be fixed, because I'm considering switching providers at this point.

Hi Benji515
I'm sorry your having such a difficult time! Let's dive into this and get it fixed! We never want to lose you. Are you able to send text messages outside? What zip code are you in? Have you tried reseting the Home wifi router?
I look forward to hearing from you.

My issue with sending texts stays the same unless I go into the city. Mind you, I don't live in the middle of nowhere. My zipcode is 19606, I live basically just outside a pretty decent sized city. The issue is that my house was constructed in a fairly crappy way, getting signal in it even with my old phone was rather iffy. It seems like overall the ability to fetch signals downgraded. My router has been reset multiple times to the same result, sadly.

benji515,
Thank you for providing this additional information! I do see your area is an area of opportunity. Have you ever had a ticket open in regards to your issues with coverage? Do you have issues with calls also? Please download Verizon Message from the Google Playstore and see if the issue persists.

Hm. It seems to have resolved itself. I'm guessing the network had a hiccup or something. Thanks for your assistance regardless.
