You seem to make recommendations that Verizon customers go elsewhere if they don't like the service frequently.

The access to these discussions starts on the Verizon customer web page under "SUPPORT".

Us customers do have concerns and your attacks on those that feel they have a concern is not helpful.  Maybe you need to take your so called support comments elsewhere.

If I was a Verizon manager you would already be gone. But since I am only a customer that will get sarcastic comments if I have a concern, I can take your advice and go elsewhere after about 12 years as a customer.

Re: Unlimited Data

I'm sure Brian can and will respond himself, but here is why he frequently makes that comment.  This website is a peer-to-peer customer forum.  The purpose is for Verizon customers to help each other, when possible, solve problems with their phones.  Also, many posters here have a good understanding of the Verizon plans and pricing structure, so they can help other customers understand them and choose a plan the makes sense for them.

This website is not a Verizon complaint department.  There is no reason to post complaints about Verizon service or prices or terms and conditions or policies, etc.  If people have a problem with those type issues, they should contact Verizon.  Posting here just creates useless arguments and accomplishes nothing but insults back and forth.  Other than expressing your discontent directly to Verizon, your other recourse is to take your business and your money elsewhere.  If Verizon starts losing market share, they will make some changes, but posting here will do nothing.

I never tell anyone that has a REAL problem to go elsewhere. People that come here and constantly complaining about wanting unlimited data back or pricing or fees or accuse Verizon of ripping them off, yes I will and here's why.

A) not having unlimited data is not a problem one can get solved in this SUPPORT forum even if Verizon CS  reps posted here let alone when it's a customer to customer forum. If one just has to have unlimited data there are other carriers that supposedly have that, and the best advice( and isn't that what we are supposed to be giving here? ) is for them to go with those carriers.

B) complaining about pricing for fees is another thing that we can't do anything about. Even CS reps can't. Once again if the price for what you need from a wireless service is too high here then the best solution is to get it elsewhere.

C) If one is accusing Verizon of ripping them off then why stay no mater what? Even if Verizon gave you unlimited data and stopped charging you fees if you suspect they are engaging in criminal activity why would you continue to do business with a company like that?

Lastly complaining at a website does not help. Has it so far? Nope. As long as Verizon gets your money every month why should they change? Go ahead and complain they've got your money. Look at their quarterly reports. Lowest churn, they are constantly increasing their subscriber base. Where is the motivation to change anything? You know why T-Mobile made these drastic changes? Because they were LOSING customers and profits were going down. So when I tell someone to leave I am not being mean I am telling them the best way to to actually get Verizon to do something about their concerns. Trust me if Verizon's churn suddenly went up to a mere 5% for a couple of quarters they would figure out why and do something about it. And if in the process of advising them to leave the number of complaint posts on this board diminishes I've killed 2 birds with one stone.

That doesn't give Brian68, or anyone else for that matter, the right to insult and/or disrespect other posters.

I've read countless posts that i just knew would be better served if the customer contacted vzw's billing dept, or tech dept, or complaint dept directly. And what i did was to suggest that he/she contact the appropriate dept, end of story.

And as for those posts that are truly off the wall (at least to me they are), i just don't respond to them.

And I don't as such posts will be deleted by the mods. Posts on this site get modded all the time. Mods will even tell the reason why. And if someone is being truly obnoxious they will get banned. I don't see what I say is any worse than what jim says. Obviously the CL here are going to be more tactful than I am or jim for that matter. They have to be. Maybe that's even their personality. I'm not going to indulge people's conspiracy theories and if I derail their "let's bash Verizon because we think it will actually change things" train, then good. Go start a twitter or facebook page and do that. That's not what this place is for. Someone postsing "Hey I'm new to IPhones( or Android, Windows whatever ) I'm not sure how to use a certain feature please help" that is a LEGIT issue and one that can be helped in this forum. Someone posting "Give me unlimited data NOW or I'll start class action lawsuit and call the FCC an have you shut down" is not a legitimate problem. I will call out those posts every time.

Yes, it falls under support. Unfortunately too many customers come here looking for answers that this web page can't answer. But instead of someone just pointing him or her to the appropriate dept that will address his or her concern, he or she gets insulted and/or disrespected.

Some customers have even come to this web page to vent, and even rant. Those i don't respond to, but there are people on this forum that just can't help themselves. They have to respond to those posts.

And to each his own.  Different people respond in different ways, and we can't control each other.  We have moderators for that.

A) Many of these people aren't even Verizon customer they just come here to start stuff. That is trolling.

B) Yes I respond. Ignore a mouse in your house and in 6 months you'll have 1000. if me being a "sticky trap" gets a troll to stop posting then good.

Ask yourself, how many people with LEGITIMATE issues get frustrated that their questions go unanswered because no one sees them because they get lost in a sea of ** complaint threads? Is that fair to them? I'll support the rights of actual customers with actual issues to get help here over someone's venting any day. And if you are truly interested in helping people you should too.

Us customers, log on to Verizon.com, using our user account and password. We can do all things to update, change our account etc. The menus lead one to believe that since this is a Verizon web site and the Support tab leads most folks to believe that this is sponsored, paid for and maintained by Verizon. Customers are expecting  Verizon support. And yes listen to complaints, expecting someone at Verizon to listen.Otherwise we could use any of several other sites that provide answers to questions.

It is not clear at all to someone going to the Verizon web site, that volunteers are answering the questions and complaints instead of real Verizon employees. So please keep that in mind....and I would still fire you for telling Verizon customers to go elsewhere if they don't like the service you provide.

I don't remember for sure, but I think the terms and conditions of this site explain all that when you sign up and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the site.
