My screen says "No Service Vodafone" I can't receive or send texts. How do I turn this off? Not even sure how it was turned on?

The only thing that's known is the device must be a global ready phone.

Droid? Which "DROID" model? A quick mental count got me to at least 15 "DROID" branded phones released by Verizon Wireless in last four years and I know I haven't counted all of them. Then there's the non-DROID branded android phones Verizon Wireless has released in that same time frame.
Be more specific. If necessary look up the model number online.
