Voicemail

When I call voicemail I get a long automatic introduction; you have x number of new messages and x number of saved messages. First message sent today.. time, length, etc.etc.

I have a sick husband in the hospital and don't have time for this. How do I get it to just give me the messages?

We understand that it is imperative that you voicemail is working correctly during these challenging times, we hope that your husband has a speedy recovery. When it comes to the Voicemail service, it is designed to give you the voicemail information so that you know when the message was left and who left it. As a fellow consumer I sometimes forget to delete the voicemail recording and have to go through them again when I delete the inbox. We can recommend deleting each voicemail after you hear it so that you can quickly listen any new voicemails without having to go through any old voicemail messages. Let us know if this information helps.

Thank you for your reply, however it was not my issue. I solved it by going into voicemail and accessing the administration options.

Using the link guide on how to access your voicemail options, you can change if the envelope information is spoken or not before you listen to the message. You can also change the prompt level from standard to fast prompts or even turn them off.

On a personal note from using the basic non-visual voicemail for many years, to get the first unheard message I usually keyed in 1 1 rapidly. After listening to the unheard messages, I could then decide to listen to any saved messages or not.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
