It is not the marshmallow update.  From my experience, it appears the purpose of this update was to completely ruin the battery life of the phone (completely dead in 6 hours with minimal use) and cause it to overheat when using the camera for 10 minutes.  This update has been a disaster.

I'm glad you're getting at least 6 hours of battery. Once my phone is off the charge, I get maybe three.

Security patch.  All LG phones got it rather late.  It was a partial fix for Stage Fright.
