No one knows.  VZW has not released any information as yet.  I am sure VZW will do their normal thing and get it to the table last of all the carriers.  If you are disappointed just because of this late update just wait, there will probably be more to come.  Like when VZW does release a long awaited update as the did last year for the S3 the update was a failure on many S3's and customers could not use their phone for much more than a paper weight for several weeks unless they got VZW to send them a refurbished replacement or they did things that can't be discussed at this forum.  Anyway I do hope someone has found the answer and chimes in here.  A side note which don't help you much is at&t started releasing KK today and Sprint and one other carrier has been at it for about a week now so VZW to be last can't be to far off now as I think that only leaves TMOB.

Oh I remember all too well when Verizon released that disastrous update for the S3 last year...what a bomb! I have been hesitant to accept OTA updates since.

and half those complaining about not getting the update will be back complaining when they do get the update that it either did something to their phone( when it didn't ) or are mad it didn't shoot out rainbows and turn lead into gold.

Don't forget about all the bloat VZW is adding and all the features VZW usually removes which they all complain about.  We can just hope it won't be another one of those failed updates they released on the SIII a few months back that turned many SIII into paper weights and then it was over 2 weeks before they released another update to fix the first one.  VZW just don't have much/any track record at releasing updates for their phones.

You fail to understand the point, if I pay $700 for a device, you best to believe I expect to get all updates available to it. It's now April, the latest software has been available for six months already! People complaining is the least of VZW's problems.

Has Sprint and AT&T began receiving the update, you asked? Yes!

The update its suppose to improve battery life and other basic housekeeping issues. I reiterate, I paid nearly a grand for this device, I want what's due; updated software!

Verizon does this too often. They intentionally delay improving user interfaces on devices, by holding out on software updates, so that phones with the latest improvements get better sale results! So yes, VZW is the one orchestrating perpetual complaints, and therefore gives the customer a reason to complain!

Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular have all started to roll out KitKat for the Note 3.

My mistake, that second link was for the HTC One, but Verizon wont let me edit my post. Here is the correct link for AT&T

I thought I saw the KitKat update was rolling out to the S4 on AT&T. I don't recall the Note 3 getting it yet.

Your link refers to a pre-KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 only. Still Jelly Bean Android 4.3 OS.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

It does not make any difference anyway as they at least have started the roll out of KK and VZW I just waiting until they get all their phones updated and then VZW will come along with usual all bloat no beef cause they will probably remove/disable the features everyone want from KK

Yes, is really frustrating waiting for Verizon to release the KitKat for the Note 3.  I think they don't realize that people hate to wait for the carrier for phones OS updates.

man this is terrible ... its almost like verizon just didnt have time to get around to it yet . i just read that the country Arabia's galaxy s3 ... not note 3 .. s3 .. the phone that is 2 years old is rolling out kitkat updates before april which means the next 2 weeks. VERIZON STOP WITH YOUR CRAP ALREADY!!! JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE BEST SERVICE DOESNT MEAN YOU DONT HAVE TO TRY HARD AT OTHER THINGS !!!! ITS A SIMPLE UPDATE FROM 4.3 TO 4.4 ... GET IT STRAIGHT !!!! DONT THINK THAT MOST PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT VERSION THEY ARE RUNNING BECAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY DO. THIS ISNT THE EARLY 90'S ANYMORE . PEOPLE ARE WELL AWARE WHEN THEY ARENT RUNNING THE NEWEST SOFTWARE. UPDATE YOUR PRODUCTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, there is no country known as Arabia.

This post caught my eye, so I had to look into it further.  As it turns out, Samsung Mobile Arabia is pushing Kit Kat out to Galaxy S3's sold in the United Arab Emirates.

What I find disturbing is (removed) got Kit Kat before we did on phones that are roughly two generations old.

Come on Big Red, lets get this done already.

+1 customer who didn't pick up a note3 out of dismay over VZN being slow to upgrade the Android OS. If VZN would acknowledge the problem and announce a plan to get Android OS updates to their customers faster I'd be less upset and willing to spend my money.
