Well, so far everything is running great, only issue is notifications for Twitter, FB and instagram. Not a biggie but just thought I would update on my phone since the Lollipop update.

Battery life seems so much better. Listened pretty much all day to Spotify over BT and I was at a little over 40% with some app usage. About a total of 8.5 hrs. No screen glitches and everything seems so much smoother than KK.

I'm curious. What notifications are you not getting from those apps?

Heretic1989 I am not getting the notification if someone one tweets to me directly or people I have favorite to get notifications if they tweet or if I get a like or mention in Instagram. Like I said not a big deal I check them normally through the night.

I have always had my email notifications turned off, I will check those when I get home to save data.

I asked because just the other day i accepted the usual app update. It was FB this time. What i didn't know then, is the update would arbitrarily change my FB setting from not sending me notifications (txt msg) to sending them to me.

I found a solution for notications on Wifi....In my router settings, I changed my IPV6 options. It was originally set on Auto Detect. I changed it to 4to6 tunnel It has fixed the notifications issues, here at the house. Two phones are on day 4 of working flawlessly. This won't help you at work, or local coffee houses, unless you have access to router settings, and the router has the mentioned settings. Hope this helps all of you until the next update comes our way. Let's pray it will fix what this one broke, and doesn't' break anything else. What is a shame, is the phone was flawless running KitKat!!

I'm happy,...AFTER following the advice in the post "Correct Procedures for G3 Lollipop Update." Sk-89 re-posted the instructions written by Snn5 who's correct procedure does not show up here but rather in the G2 discussion pages.  But as I said within the G3 discussion, this update was NOT (I repeat NOT) worth the effort.  An update should be a matter of pressing a button and then setting your phone aside for 20 to 30 minutes, at the most, while it does its thing.  This, however, became a major undertaking for me that I had to spread over a few days just to be sure I got things right. Switching to either Samsung or HTC (or even to another carrier) wouldn't make things any better since this seems to be and Android-wide problem on every carrier. So before going through this again, I'll defect to either Apple or -- say it ain't so -- Windows.

So far I'm happy with the update. The only issue is the media server service eating thru the battery which I remedy with a restart after using any music player/streaming service. It's a flaw but one I can easily overlook.
