Why do I keep getting the 'Google Play Services has stopped working' message?

All of sudden last night, my phone has started popping up a message that Google Pay services has stopped. It pops up about every 2-3 seconds. I have tried rebooting my phone. I uninstalled the only app I downloaded yesterday, which was Apple Music, and it continues. Any ideas on what is causing this or how to fix it?

I tried all of the options listed, and it didn't work. However, I realized that I changed the battery that night, so I opened up the phone to see if I has moved loosened the one of the cards. When I opened the case, I could feel the battery jiggling, so it appears, the problem was the battery was loose, and the phone was interpreting that as a problem with Google Play Services.

Clear the Google Play Services Cache

Clear the Google Framework Services Cache

Uninstall Google Play Services Updates

Update all applications

I also got these steps. The names or progression of settings depend on the model of phone - but generally will be the same.

Settings>Lock Screen & Security>Other Security Settings>Phone/Device Administrators>Android Device Manager (TURN OFF)

Settings>Applications Manager>Google Play Services>Uninstall Update

Open Google Play and ensure all updates are up to date

Settings>Lock Screen & Security>Other Security Settings>Phone/Device Administrators>Android Device Manager (TURN ON)

In addition to Acrillix advice, I had the same issue 2 nights ago on my G4 and cleared the cache in Storage and USB in Settings.  Rebooted, resolved.  Seemed to be related to a Chrome v54 update.  The problem started after that update and while using the camera.

Sounds like the battery pull reboot is what fixed the issue.  Rebooting via the power button isn't the same as a full power disconnect.
