This is happening Aug 9, 2017
My LG G3 notifies me of a system update. I click "Install Now" and go through the entire process (Over The Air).
- It does a two-pass download,
- Reboots,
- I log in to my encrypted phone,
- Begins "Android is updating, Optimizing app x of x" until complete,
- States "Android is Upgrading - Finishing Boot",
- Says "System Update Complete" on the home panel.
However, within minutes my LG G3 notifies me of a system update. I've tried this update 5 times. Checking the software version it has "VS9854BA", not the updated version "VS9854CA". How can I solve this problem?
Android Version: 6.0
Build number: MRA58K

To anyone having a similar problem, or perhaps any System Update problem, a chat with LG resolved this by restarting the phone in Safe Mode, letting it stay there for a couple minutes, then restarting to normal mode. The subsequent System Update took hold.
They did say if this didn't work, then try the factory reset.
