Why does my phone all of a sudden say either SIM card not found, or Sim Card is not readable. Then all of a sudden it works. Then it doesn't. Then it does. It's also draining my battery really fast.

After I turn it off and on several times, I can finally use it and have no SIM card issues for about 30 minutes.

Then I would take it to a Verizon store and get a replacement SIM card. If you go to a corporate store, they will give you a replacement for free.

Turn phone off. Take SIM card out. Rub it with a microfiber cloth. Reinsert. Turn phone on.

I have tried seeing if there was something in there, but didn't see anything.  I don't have a microfiber cloth, but used a cotton cloth.  Turned it back on it says service disabled, but I do have 4G and a bar.  Lets see how long this lasts.

It could just be working because I've restarted it so many times.
