Why does my zenpad always say activating your device dont turn off

Every time I go to use my ZenPad 8 which I just got yesterday always says activating your device, do not turn off.

MAYQUI56 - I apologize for the issue you're having with your ZenPad 8. I have the same tablet so I am confident that we will quickly resolve this issue. Is your ZenPad active on your Verizon wireless account? Was the intitial activation successful?
