Why has Verizon neglected to update the LG G7 ThinQ after continually promising they would?

This is just plain ridiculous at this point. I'm sitting here with my 2 year old phone that has the same OS it launched with in 2018. Android 11 has been out for months. And we still have no Android 10. Let alone Android 11.

Riddle me this, Verizon. If you're going through such "rigorous testing" that it takes you over a year to push out an update while other carriers got it back in late 2019, then maybe you should consider testing more efficiently. This is stupid. If you're not going to support your devices that you've promised time and time again to update, then I'm happy to go over to T-Mobile or US Cellular because they actually seem to have interest in keeping their devices up to date.

I'm fed up.

Expecting a carrier phone running Android to receive timely updates...LOL

My unlocked S20 is running Android 11. The only Android device I've seen update quickly is the Pixel line. Someone with an old iPhone 7 is running the same OS as the newest 12. Old phone is a Verizon branded LG V30 that's probably still stuck on 10. Not going that route ever again. If you want timely updates, don't go with a Verizon LG.

You're dealing with an extremely "lackluster customer support" with Verizon...  And saying it this way is  actually a compliment!  Verizon's support is much, much  worse than lackluster!

If it's really important to you, and obviously it is, I'd look into rooting your phone.  I don't know anything about your LG phone and that capability, but I suspect it's possible to do.  Go to xda forum to find out.  Good luck!
