Several previous entries on the Forum from over a year and a half ago from US Military members asking why they couldn't access the online Military discount page. To say the sign-in process is obtuse is a huge understatement. It is specifically designed to make it impossible to navigate. I get the distinct impression that Verizon just wants to be able to boast that they support the Miitary while not actually doing so. I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for over 20 years, shame on me, eh? I told my US Marine son-in-law he could get this discount-- I called to make sure. Interestingly, the agent I spoke with at Verizon said there were no Military discounts, then went to check again, and came back very surprised. He told me I had to do it online. Road block number 1. I got online, only to realize there isn't a clear link to this discount page, but a series of pages that you have to "guess" and try again and again- Road Block #2. Then, they ask for "Employer's Address," which is irrelevant to the Military discount- Road Block #3; then I find on a help page that we are supposed to just enter a prior APO address- now who remembers these? And how does this apply? Road Bock #5. Then, it asks for a photo of your paystub, which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Military disocunt- it is only if you are trying to get an employee discount- Road Block #6. And you can't advance past this page, so at that point, I began witing this letter.
SHAME ON VERIZON for duping veterans!!!

Ok... First of all it asks for this information because me, a normal Gary, could go on there and say I am in the military
I have no problem with verification. My question is regarding page navigation, which is terrible. This topic is not new. Others have been complaining to Verizon about this for a long time. They should have fixed it back then. They should fix it now.
you need to stop into a corporate store every 2 years with dd214 or dod id card.
Agreed. The link to register for a military discount is broken.

It still is a problem: when choosing
You are directed to a page that requires either a work email address or employer address. Neither of these is appropriate, but there are no other options. There needs to be an option for validating by military document.
Thank you.
I'm having the same issue. It was hard as hell to get my DD-214 submitted. Now, it has been 3 months and no response, not even asking for more info or denying me for some outlandish reason.. tonight I tried to go through the hoops and resubmit, but the link is broken. I feel that Verizon is making this overly difficult. Verification is expected. Wouldn't have it any other way. But it should not be impossible to get this discount.
I just spoke to customer service rep. Sandy sent me a text with a link to www.verizonwireless.com/military.
Page not found.
Time for a new carrier in my opinion.
I suppose it looks good on the website that they support veterans, but obviously not.
This link has nothing to do with Veterans discounts. Only asks for Employer information.
Please respond with accurate information for Veterans to apply for discounts.
