Will my phone be unlocked after 60 days?

so i am new to verizon and i got a galaxy a10e.  i love the phone.    it is my understanding that this phone will automatically be unlocked 60 days after purchase/activation?  is this true?  i read somewhere that Verizon locks their phones now for the first 60 days.  will i need to do anything after those 60 days or should i then try someone else's sim card to see?  thanks in advance..
