I am resurrecting my old XT907. I replaced a broken LCD screen. Replaced the battery with new. However when plugged into charger it has a steady green light and will not turn on. Fastboot cord will allow it to start upon soft reset however, does not want to charge. I've even replaced the motherboard to no avail. Suggestions?

RTOCRO, it's awesome to see you revamping the phone you like. It is strange that you are not getting it to hold a healthy charge. Let's figure this out. Have you checked the battery to make sure it's good? Have you tried using a different charger? Are you using the manufactured charger?

Hello Marcus:
Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated. I will answer each of your questions.
The battery is new. It would boot up when the battery was first installed. However; once the batter fell below 3-4% the phone no longer booted. I still have the original charger and that doesn't work either. Works on my XT1080 though.
The phone has sat for a few years with a broken screen and when I replaced the LCD screen I had the original problem. Steady green light and no boot. I assumed the battery was NG and replaced with new. The phone still would not show charging on the screen when it was booted. I then thought, bad motherboard. Replaced and have same problem. Fastboot cord will allow booting however; battery shows different levels with red light flashing indicating on the screen under the battery level icon with a picture of a plug. Thus, telling me to plug in charger.
I did have to clear the phone to unlock it after replacing the screen. don't know if that did anything.

Did you replace it with an OEM replacement? Some of the cheap batteries available on Amazon are no good and will cause problems like this.
