As the title says. I got it done. I am at work now and cannot add pictures (proof) but I will as soon as I get home. My notes are at home as well. Only posting now in hopes someone will see this now and ask questions that I can *hopefully* answer. Currently VoLTE is not up and running, but I have more work to do with that. I may end up having to use Google Voice/Hangouts for calls and texts but I am not picky as long as I can keep my old number.
Did you get a chance to get everything set up? My XZ will arrive this evening and was curious how you made out.
I never got HD Calling (VoLTE) to work. I was very happy with the 4G
coverage I had, but I was not able to find an app that would take my old
cellular number and import it into VoIP so all calls and texts could be
received by 1 app with only one phone number. Google hangouts seemed to be
the answer at first, but I learned you needed to download Google voice and
I think a third one, all just to not have texting since they removed that
feature sometime in the past.
I have since moved to T-mobile for simplicity's sake at the expense of
coverage. I get cell coverage MOST places but definitely lack LTE coverage
in multiple spots. If you could take up the torch from here and try your
luck with HD Calling and report back your experience with it, it would be
much appreciated.
If you need help getting on LTE with your XZ Premium, I am more than happy
to help. Love promoting a great phone and people's chance to experience
something other than Apple/Samsung/LG/Motorola.
