My Galaxy S7 has suddenly been locked up with a message that says: the process com.android.phone has stopped". It will not allow me to do anything. I've restarted the phone numerous times but nothing changes. How can I fix this?? Help!!!!

japtti,
That would concern anyone! Let's figure out what is going on and ensure you have a working device. You mentioned that you tried to restart the phone. Once the device powers back on does this message display immediately or when does it pop? Try placing the device in Safe Mode to see if you can access the device https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-203266/.
