I purchased a new andriod phone and would like to give my 7 year old son my old verizion phone so that he can play games and listen to music...you know having a phone is sooo cool! I did a factory reset on the phone so that it would free up the used memory. I cannot get passed the activation screen. Have I completely messed this up for my son or is there something I can do to bypass this?

For clarification...will your son be using the old phone only as a computer (without the ability to make calls), or, will he be able to make & receive calls too?
you're not activating it, disregard that part or select "later"!!.
i use several old phones from family/extended family when they upgraded phones on home wi-fi.
