explorer recognizes the phone as xt1575 but says the folder is empty. How to transfer my pix from the gallery to my computer?
which folder are you looking at in a sub group under the phone....dcim or something else??
Have you pulled down the notification shade and changed the USB mode from charging to file transfer/media device?

We want to make sure you are able to transfer your photos to the computer.
You can also try a different USB port to see if that helps.

I know you mentioned xt1575/ Turbo Z, but that shows as a Moto X Pure. Please let us know if those steps helped.
