I want to transfer photos from my Droid to my computer using the usb cable.  everything I see says to change it from charging only to transfer, but when I pull down the notifications tab there is nothing there about usb.

Saving and transferring photos is a great way to preserve your memories safely, so let's check that out. When plugging the phone into your computer, does the computer recognize it as being connected? Does the phone also recognize it is plugged into something (normally the phone would start charging)? So we can get specific steps to help, what is the make/model of the Droid you are using?
