What troubleshooting steps have you tried? Did you recently port your number to Verizon Wireless?

Last call: last week 9/01/2018
Placing call: phone app will go to calling screen but it will never dial.
Phone app freezes and goes unresponsive. I have to restart the phone to
unfreeze it again. Seems like phone app freezing is causing entire phone to
freeze.
Before the issue got worse, I use to be able to make 1 phone call before
freezing. Now it freezes right away.
Receiving a call: I can try to accept it but it will not respond to my
action. Call continues to ring until they hang up. I cannot hang up either.
I can mute the call with the side button though.

bearone21, thank you for your response. Randypark1, I appreciate you providing me with these important details, and my goal is to make sure that we can determine what is causing this issue. Also, I appreciate you for providing your Zip code. I thoroughly reviewed the 95008 area and found no service issues or outages to report. Is the issue youโre experiencing happening indoors/outdoors or both in regard to the phone calls? Are others experiencing the same issue? In regard to the phone freezing, have you installed any new applications since this started? When did the device begin to freeze? Is it happening at random times or only when you attempt to make or receive a phone call or when using an application?

Hello,
I am pretty sure it is the hardware defect that has been happening to
pixels where a chip inside is cracking. Only the phone app is causing
trouble. I don't know anyone else with a pixel, but this issue seems to be
common on pixel forumns. This issue happens outside and inside with
consistent repro of the issue.
I went through Google's full troubleshooting guide. I tested my phone in
safe mode and also factory reset my phone and cleared all data and apps and
the issue was the same with the phone app.

Issue seems to have gotten worse last month. But I have been experiencing
phone app issues for awhile now but it was so intermittent I thought it was
the other caller/ my location. I can confirm it is not my signal or
location or other callers phones.
