Might be easier to transfer the Outlook calendar to the Google calendar which is set by default to sync with your phone.

I second that suggestion!
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

If you set it up as an Exchange account on your phone, it should sync across devices (assuming your other devices also have the account set up as an Exchange account).

It's essential to transfer your calendar entries to your smartphone, ROBHRD88. Adding your email to your phone as a Microsoft Exchange account is your best option: http://vz.to/2ABG8et . Once your email is added, you will see a notification asking to sync contacts/calendar automatically in most cases. If you do not see this, you can sync your calendar in Settings>Microsoft Exchange (under Accounts), then select your email account and check Sync Calendar. Does this help?

You are assuming that the Outlook calendar is tied to an exchange email. Some people use Outlook to read emails such as Yahoo! or MSN or cable internet provided emails that do not offer exchange.
