verizon voicemail not being deleted

My verizon wireless voicemail says messages are saved for 21 days. However, my messages are not being deleted after 21 days. Is this something i can fix, or something verizon needs to fix?

V3user, you came to the right place for this Voice Mail issue you are having. Were the messages being deleted automatically after 21 days previously? How many messages do you currently have in your Voice Mail

At the time of my first post (above), I had 19 messages in my voice mail. I currently have 14 messages, because I deleted some myself. I don't know for sure whether this is a continuous problem, but this was not the first time my voice mail was full because messages weren't deleted after 21 days.

Do you keep resaving the old messages? I kept a voicemail for two years because I would resave it.
