Agent gave me incorrect pricing on screen repair

I called Verizon's 1-800 number at 11am this morning to inquire about getting my phone screen replaced since it was broken. The agent reviewed my account, told me I didn't have insurance (which I figured), and said I needed to go to a third party repair store to get my phone fixed. In Sacramento, Verizon sends their insurance holders to a store called UBreakIFix to repair phones. When I asked the agent how much it would cost me to repair my phone there out of pocket, he told me they would charge me $500+ to fix it. I called over a dozen phone stores and nobody had the part to fix my screen, so I ended up calling UBreakIFix. They ended up charging me $309.99 and seemed surprised Verizon was telling their customers with no insurance they would charge that much. The incorrect pricing the agent gave me wasted my time. If he didn't know, he should've said so. I was told to leave my complaint here.
