I just had one of my grandsons get his own plan so he could get off mine. What does Verizon do, They take the amount of the disconnected phone and divide it up between the existing lines on my plan so my bill went down zero. I have one less line but my bill is the same. Verizon is going to make sure they get your money. I don't know of any other business that would even dream of such a practice.
This is an industry practice, unfortunately. The less lines you have, the more each line costs. I've got only one line and can't even afford the lowest priced postpaid plan, which is why I'm on prepaid service.
