Via My VZ you can block up to five numbers for free. Call Filter helps filter calls, and you can even do more with the Call Filter Premium version. There's also Smart Family, to help with monitoring activity for the whole account especially any younger users who may need it. All the options are shared there, and links to help enable them as well.
Additionally, depending on your make and model of phone, Apple and Android offer some features to help filter calls.
