Many years ago I switched from Verizon to another provider and ported my number. While on Verizon, I had an alias for the vtext service in place of using my number. (Example: [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] vs [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]) My mobile Verizon account was deactivated and I no longer have access to change or remove the alias to which the mobile number is attached to. Any help???

Are you having issues related to that vtext alias, e.g. receiving unwanted texts? Are you seeing indications that it is still active?

Ahhh....I discovered that I could completely turn off the text to email by texting OFF to 4040. Although I've switched to a different cell provider, it still uses the Verizon service and the email to text feature is carried over after porting. Although this doesn't solve how I could've removed the alias, I no longer need the email to text feature.

Ugh... didn't work. Sent off to 4040 then checked STATUS which said it was off. Sent an email to text and it still went through. Maybe it just takes a while to propagate the mod through the Internet. I'll check again later.😐
