Hello,
I need help figuring out how to update my voicemail app to a newer version. I've had samsung phones for the past almost 20 years on Verizon. For the last 2 or 3 device upgrades I've used smart switch to transfer all my data and apps when I've upgraded devices. This last switch, was a warranty replacement on my samsung note 10 plus. My visual voicemail mail that worked fine before the new device, won't work. I can still access by *86, but can't see my voicemails in the app as it acts like app is still downloading. I can't Uninstall app and reinstall or update in play store since it is a system app. It's the red icon and says it's version 3. Apparently, newer versions of the app is now a green icon and is like version 7. The tech blamed my smart switch transferring over an old version all these years, but even if I factory reset on the new device the app is still the old red icon.. so i don't know what else to do. Any tips to update the version of this system app and get to use my visual voicemail again? tier 2 tech support was no help. They tried all the resets etc. Crazy because my old note 10 plus had the red icon and visual voicemail worked fine 1month ago, but this new phone won't even though its a note 10 plus too.
Thanks.

Oh, no! Dealing with service issues can be frustrating, especially if its affecting your voicemail. No worries, Verizon is here to help.
Let's gather more details. What exactly happens when you try to retrieve messages? When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? Aside from the voicemail, any other problems?

Me too! I went thru the Verizon support and they asked me to do the same thing. After numerous backups and factory resets, still the visual voicemail doesn't work. On top of that, they said there is no way to push an update to my phone. If it's an app thru their service, you would think they could push the update. Were they able to fix your visual voicemail?
