Just wanted to clarify this plan for myself. This $1.99 per day usage plan requires you to buy refill cards correct? Which at the minimum are $15 and last only 30 days (but will roll over when another $15 is added.) So even barely using the phone am I to understand that this amounts to a $15 a month plan (unless you go over.)

Just wanted to clarify this plan for myself. This $1.99 per day usage plan requires you to buy refill cards correct? Yes the prepaid cards go from $15.00 for 30 days to $30.00 for 90 days $50.00 for 180 days and $100.00 for 365 days. Which at the minimum are $15 and last only 30 days (but will roll over when another $15 is added.) Yes the amount will roll over. You only pay the $1.99 on the days you use the phone or call your voice mail. There is also a 99 cent plan. So even barely using the phone am I to understand that this amounts to a $15 a month plan (unless you go over.) Yes your correct about the amount being $15.00 every 30 days. (remember some months have 31 days, so it goes by days not months. )if that is the plan you have have.

If you are not going to use your phone very often then you are better off purchasing a refill card with a higher amount, as the balance has a longer expiration date. For example, if you apply a $100 refill card to your account, you will not have to add money for another year. Using a $100 refill card amounts to $8.33 per month. When you add another refill card, your expiration date will be extended for another year from the day you add the card, and any remaining balance will be retained in your account.

"Yes the prepaid cards go from $15.00 for 30 days, to $30.00 for 90 days (3mo), $50.00 for 180 days (6mo), and $100.00 for 365 days (1 year). "
NOT TRUE aka Errent : $50 = 90 days, I paid on 1-8-11 and $50 extends for only 90 days.
It does seem logical that it would be, but Verizon does not apply it that way.
It would be a great benifit to we the users IF Verizon would change the policy and add the 180 days option.

Thank You for the correction, I always use the $30.00 plan and read the booket wrong, I rarely use the voice part of the phone and am a heavy texter. Thanks again for the correction.

$75 is the minimum refill for 180 days. It is on page 17 in the getting started booklet for my LG accolade.
Here is the breakdown for the refill rates and expiration:
$15-$29.99 30 days
$30-$74.99 90 days
$75-$99.99 180 days
$100 and above 365 days
