Thanks!

If I understand you correctly if I call a non Verizon number I'm charged .99 cents per call no matter if it is day or night?

If you call a non verizon person and you have not made any call that day you would be charged 99 cents plus 10 cents per minute. That is only for non verizon cell or landline calls no matter what time of day or night it is.

What if I bump up to the $1.99 plan, does that mean I could call from my Verizon phone and it would be unlimited to any number?

For the $1.99 plan you would get unlimited  calling plus nights and  weekends for verizon to verizon and it would be 5 cents for non verizon persons plus the 1.99 is you have not already made a call that day.

The $3.99 plan You could get Unlimited mobile to mobile for  all calls verizon and non verizon for daytime, night time and weekends..

I hope this helps if not let me  know and I will try to explain further. Happy Holiday to you to and have a safe one.

This is a very common question.  The answer is as long as your calling verizon to verizon its 99 cents up to 9:59pm, after that its considered nighttimes minutes and you will be charged an additional 10 cents per minute.  So call all you want and as many people as you want on verizon.

Thanks Minniehaha for answering my question,

I tried doing a search for this question but could not find it, sorry...

If I understand you correctly if I call a non Verizon number I'm charged .99 cents per call no matter if it is day or night?

What if I bump up to the $1.99 plan, does that mean I could call from my Verizon phone and it would be unlimited to any number?

The information they provide online does not go into enough detail and that's where they got me...

Thank you so much for your help and have a great holiday!!!

With the $0.99 plan, you are charged $0.99 once only on the days you make a call.  On these days, you get unlimited Mobile to Mobile calling with other Verizon customers.  Calls made to non-Verizon customers are charged an additional $0.10 per minute.

With the $1.99 plan, you are charged $1.99 once only on the days you make a call. On these days, you get unlimited calling to any number on any network.  There are no additional charges for calling.

The $3.99 plan does not exist any more.  The $1.99 plan is now the same as what the $3.99 plan used to be.

With the $1.99 plan, what if I make no calls on a day, but I txt? Will I have to pay the $1.99 access fee, or just the 2 cents per text?

To clarify with the $1.99 plan, somebody earlier in the thread stated 5c per minute after the access fee, but I believe is unlimited calling, just $1.99 and thats it, right?

One final question, is there a baseline charge? Say, if I don't make any calls but I txt 200 times in a month with the $1.99 plan, do I only pay $2.00 that month?

THanks!

Well, my question about the txting vs calling was answered in this thread;

http://community.vzw.com/t5/Prepaid-Plans/Texting-and-1-99-plan/td-p/594630

But still need to make sure that callins is not per minute at all; only the $1.99 fee will be applied (once) that day and unlimited calling in the US after that.

no Baseline charge even if I don't use my phone at all?

When to worry about roaming charges? I travel from southern Washington to North Oregon through the week..

You only get charged the $1.99 charge when you actually make a  phone call or receive a call.

no Baseline charge even if I don't use my phone at all? If you don't make any calls at all or do not text all you have to pay is the 30 day or  90 day charge or what ever monthly plan your on.
When to worry about roaming charges? I travel from southern Washington to North Oregon through the week..You will be charged 20 cents per minute for roaming, you will know ahead of time because they tell you its a charge and you can accept it or cancel the call. Roaming is not included in the calling plans.

OK, actually I haven't cleared up my question regarding whether the $1.99 fee will be applied to a day if I just txt. Somebody at a Verizon store and somebody on the Verizon support line both said that if I send txt messages, the daily fee will be applied, even if I make zero calls!

So, if I send 1 txt a day, each day in a month, it'll be $60!

The thread I linked to 2 posts above this post has the wrong answer I guess.

"If you don't make any calls at all or do not text all you have to pay is the 30 day or  90 day charge or what ever monthly plan your on."

What monthly plan, this is about a prepaid plan thingy. I just want to pay $1.99 for days that I make/recieve calls $0.02 per txt.

Thank you
