Account summary for prepaid?

My wife and I are thinking about getting my son a prepaid phone for his birthday to get him used to having bills and expenses, however we've never had a cell phone on a prepaid plan and would like to keep track of how much time he spends on his phone. My question is, do prepaid accounts have a monthly statement similar to a contracted line? If so, what information is displayed on the statement? Thank you in advance.

There is no statement.  Prepaid is stripped down in features. You autopay (gives you more promo data) or you make a payment over the phone or My Verizon.  I had no option of paper billing.  You can see usage in My Verizon, but you cannot tell how much time a person has used whichever feature unless you just look at the usage summary for min, texts, and data.
