I'm trying to get a phone with a 305 area code, but I live in the 518 area code presently. It looks like they code NEW prepaid phones based on your billing zip code (12020) when you try to assign the EID? Can I do what I am trying to do?
I don't think it makes a difference, they usually ask the zip code because they verify that your in an area that has service. I have two area codes in my town and they asked me which one I wanted, sometimes they don't have an open one for that other area code and will give you a different one, since you don't pay for long distance or out of area the area code doesn't matter.
