Apparently Verizon doesn't consider it Prepaid Customers part of their Verizon family so anytime a prepaid customer texts a Verizon contract customer, it counts against your allowance. They fail to mention this anywhere in the plan description. In my case, I was charged an additional $50 for txt overages between my daughters phone (Verizon Contract Customer) and her mom (Verizon Pre-Pay Customer). It would seem to me that a Verizon customer is a Verizon customer, regardless of the type plan they have. Apparently Verizon has found a little loop hole in order to gouge a few more dollars out of its customers.
This is patently untrue. VzW prepaid definitely counts as Mobile To Mobile for vzw postpaid subscribers. Either you don't get Mobile To Mobile for your postpaid account or you don't actually have VzW Prepaid (Straight Talk, Page Plus, etc are ***not*** VzW Prepaid)
Are you talking about the Daily Prepaid Charges?? Or the Monthly Prepaid? If its the daily The choice of the plans run from 1.99 per day only on days you use the phone and 2 cents for each text sent - to 99 cents per day only on days you use it and 10 cents for each text sent, 25 cents per minute only on days you use it. and 5 cents for each text If you never use the phone you will still have to make a payment according to the above schedule. $15.00 for 30 days, $30.00 for 90 days. The phone Charges are separate from text charges - You can buy a text package that is $10.00 and it covers Unlimited Verizon to Verizon texting plus 250 text to non Verizon carriers (thats 125 to send and 125 to receive. or get the $20.00 plan that is free texting to any carrier.
Minniehaha has hit the nail on the head. VZW Prepaid plans do NOT have texting to vzw customers included. They pay per txt less the plan includes it (which only the monthly Unlimited 50 and 80 do). As she also pointed out, they do have bundles you can add to a Daily plan to cover text. Also, there are no overages on Prepaid, so if you got billed 50.00 for those text, then your contract plan also doesn't include Verizon to Verizon texts, which you may also want to check into a bundle for that as well.
I don't understand this. My daughter has a verizon pre-paid daily plan with the $10 text bundle. Her best friend has a verizon contract plan. They text each other hundreds (thousands) of times a day and have never had a problem.
if you have the $10.00 text plan its unlimited for verizon to verizon is covered in the plan. If its a non verizon person then its per text depending on which plan you have depends on how much it is per text. The $20.00 plan is unlimited.
