Can't Pay Bill - Maximum Credit Card Updates

This is a pretty ridiculous problem that won't go away and customer service is not compelled to help or address the problem. I am unable to pay my bill. There is an error of "maximum credit card updates" and to "check back tomorrow." This error has been happening for 10 days, still unable to pay the bill. Can not add a credit card, can not set up auto pay, can not make a one time payment, all same error. Customer service was not helpful, acting like it was my fault for triggering the lock on my account, which supposedly only lasts for 24 hours.

Any idea what to do? Never in my life has any company made it so hard to pay a bill...
