Can't send or receive video MMS Moto G4 play

I have a prepaid Moto G4 play prepaid. It's a brand new phone. I activated it a couple of days ago. I can send and receive text but video messaging is not sending or receiving thru wifi or data. I did a systems update yesterday and now it's not working. I tried looking for the apn which I saw online could help but my phone does not have that anywhere. What can I do.

The G4 is an LG phone, so I'm not sure if your device is the LG G4, or a Moto 4G device.

If you try using a different messenger program, do you have the same problem? That will help isolate where the problem is.

If other messenger apps work, I would try clearing data for your messenger app via Application Manager.

If the same problem is in other messenger apps, I'd start with resetting your network settings and restarting the phone.

It's the Moto g 4 generation but retail wise it's called Moto G4 play.

Elements I tried another messenger and the same thing happens, it just stays on send and never goes through. I don't know how to reset my network settings on the Moto g4 play.

My wife's Moto G had this issue. What I had to do was first switch her to the Message+ app from Verizon, then go to the Menu button in Message+ and select Settings. Once in Settings, I scrolled down to Media Auto-Download and changed the settings for "When using mobile data" and "When connected on WiFi" to All Media (they were set to Pictures Only). After that, video messages played as they were supposed to...new ones. The ones previously sent still wouldn't play.
