Thanks Susy, I hope so! Honest I am seriously considering a Droid X if it will work for my home comp as well......now to find out if it would work that way even on prepaid...Anyhow looking at the price points, I already pay around 120.00 /mo for 2 phones prepaid, i could downgrade the one and do a 64.99 plan with the 30.00 data on the main phone, that might work.

Will the eligible phones be offered at a discounted price through Verizon or would they still be full retail?

There's no incentive for Verizon to offer a discount without pairing that discount with some type of contract. The point of prepaid service is that it is contract free, the downside is no subsidized handsets.

I know what the point of pre-paid is however they do offer some phones at a discounted price if you sign up for a pre-paid monthy service, so they do sometimes offer incentives to sign up for their pre-pay service as opposed to another carrier.
