I went online and bought ringback tone, made sure I clicked 'OK' and that I definately paid for it and the money was taken out of my balance. Anyway when I called my phone to make sure it would play all I can hear is "classical music"!!!!!  So the money was taken out of my balance and I paid for tone I don't have!!!!!!!  Not happy!

You need to assign the ringtone via online account I believe.

I can certainly understand why you wouldn't be happy if the ringback tone you purchased is not the one that's activated. Once you purchase a ringback tone you do have to set it as default or assign in to certain contacts. You can do this by simply following these steps:

 

  1. Login to My Verizon.
  2. Under I Want To... Select More Actions.
  3. Under Media select Manage Ringback Tones.
  4. Under Manage select My Ringback Tones.
  5. Set  your Ringback Tone as Default, Assign by Day of the Week or set it by Contacts.
