I have two 3 gig data add-on packages, yet still cannot access data from my phone.

First of all, I don't know why Verizon changed the prepaid/month-to-month plans to this ALLSET bs. Everything worked just fine the other way, but it is what it is, I guess. Anyway, I bought two 3 gig data add-on plans, because I knew I would run through the 500 mb allowance within a matter of days. As far as I understand, the addon packages are supposed to automatically kick in after you use up your allowance. Well, mine have not kicked in, and I can't find an option either on the Verizon website or on My Verizon Mobile to begin using  a data addon package. Hopefully I've just missed something somewhere, but I can't figure out where or how.

I purchased a 3GB add-on data package, got a text message confirming it but it does not show up in my account. Supposed to be immediate! What is going on?
