Is there a minimum amount I have to spend on a prepaid plan?

I purchased a new basic phone with $10.00 on it. I'm aware that I have to use the phone for 6 months before I can activate it to my standing account. Does anyone know the minimum $ I have to pay for the next six months? Thanks.
