Trying to add a prepaid to post pay account but get a system error.

The error comes after MEID pass at SIM verification.  The device is a verizon Moto g4 play, activated for months.  I am attempting to switch it in place of an existing phone on my account.  I keep getting the message "There was an error with one of our systems and we're working on it now.  Please try back in a few minutes."

does that phone still have any active number attach to sim card with prepay account so far if yes then you will need new sim card for post pay account and can be obtain from direct vzw store.if you are owder or account manager you can call 800-922-0204  for assistance.

How may months is "activated for months"?

Has it been 6 or more?
