Hello, I'm a little upset as well as confused.. Today I went into my local Verizon store to put money on my account for my upcoming bill. I saw that today is customer appreciation day and that you are offering $1 Samsung tablets to show your appreciation. But when I asked about the offer I was told it did not apply to me because I am a prepaid customer.. Now, I don't see how that is fair? I am a customer.. And Verizon is celebrating "customer" appreciation day.. So why is it that Verizon is picking and choosing what customers get to celebrate with them? I have been a paying customer since 2014. And before that, I was on my mothers plan. I have been with Verizon as a customer for 7 years.. So I think I deserve to reap the benefits as much as the next customer. Whether or not I have a contract or not. I don't see how this is fair, and I would like someone to explain this to me..
Is the store in question a Verizon Wireless corporate...or...an authorized reseller? Resellers can run promotions outside of those found in corporate stores.
$1 for a tablet also sounds like a contract promotion. Would you have been willing to keep the service for the tablet line active for 2 years by paying for the data plan and line access fee for that time?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

As Ann has stated, this sounds like a service contract promotion. You MAY get the tablet for $1, buy you most definitely would have to sign a 2 yr service agreement on a line of service for that tablet to get that price which would, for that line at least, turn you into a postpaid customer. Is that what you are looking to do?
Your tenure with us is greatly appreciated, Ari.Haley14. We never want any of our customers to feel left out. Our community provided some great answers, as an offer that low is always accompanied by a contract requirement and it can also be something one of our authorized retail partners are offering that our corporate channels are not. The great thing about having prepaid service is that you are offered service at a great value and receive amazing prices on devices that would cost a lot more without our prepaid service. Our prepaid team can always take a closer look to ensure you're on the plan that offers you the best value. They can be reached at 888-294-6804 or by logging into your My Verizon account, clicking 'Contact Us', then choosing 'Chat'.
