The DROID X2 will work with the smartphone prepaid plans.  If you are buying the phone used, make sure to check the ESN at verizonwireless.com/certifieddevice if you can.

it seems to be 3G only so yes. Just check the specs of any phone you want to use. If it's a 4g phone then it won't work
