Hi...I need some questions answered-please.  I am going from a conventional Verizon plan that my grandson is also on and we are converting to a pre paid plan..$50 per month.  I have the phones and we both have existing numbers with Verizon.  Questions:

 

1.  When I enter my card code on the new phone can I also port my existing number when I am setting this up?

 

2.  When I set these new phones up will it automatically shut my other phone down...the reason I ask is my grandson lives an hour away from here and we planned on meeting on Tuesday to try and do this.

 

I realize I will probably have to contact Verizon and cancel my other plan but can I set everything in place beforehand?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

1.  When I enter my card code on the new phone can I also port my existing number when I am setting this up? Yes you can. If you have a problem porting it over call customer service at 1-888-294-6804

 

2.  When I set these new phones up will it automatically shut my other phone down...the reason I ask is my grandson lives an hour away from here and we planned on meeting on Tuesday to try and do this. Yes it will shut down the old phone, before you activate the new phones be sure to backup all you contacts and any info that you want on the new plan. Because once you active the new phone all the information will be lost.

 

I realize I will probably have to contact Verizon and cancel my other plan but can I set everything in place beforehand? After you have your new plan activated call Verizon to  conffirm your old plan is cancelled.
