is there anyway to change the plan on a phone without pin or answer to security question. the previous owner passed away and now i can not change the plan it is a prepaid setup but i would like to put a unlimited text bundle on there

Do you know if he ever signed up for My Verizon online? If he didn't sign up and put in  a user name and password and your cell number and you will be able to change the plan online. If that does not work call customer service at 1-888-294-6804. Also is the other owner never changed his security code, its normally the last four digits of the cell number.

If the previous owner passed away, and you are taking over the line (as it sounds like you want to do) I would advise that you go to Verizon with proof of death, and then do an AOL to put the account in your name; you can then set up the account to your liking.
