I got a $15 refill card today, how long can I hold on to it before adding it to my phone minutes before the cards value expires?

also I just read adding more money doesnt increase the expiration date, so my question is how do you increase the expirate date? I literally have to  add money the day it's gonna expire or what? also is there any set amount that needs to be added?

I got a $15 refill card today, how long can I hold on to it before adding it to my phone minutes before the cards value expires?Turn the card over and look on the bottom left hand corner it will have the expiration date there.

also I just read adding more money doesnt increase the expiration date, so my question is how do you increase the expirate date? I literally have to  add money the day it's gonna expire or what? also is there any set amount that needs to be added?

 $15-$29.99 expires in 30 days  - $30-$74.99 expires in 90 days
$75-$99.99 expires in 180 days  - $100 or more expires in ONE YEAR!

If you need to add more money before the expiration day you can add more money but your expiration date will remain the same. You must add more money up to 11:59pm on the day the card is going to expire or a day before. I usually do mine the morning its going to expire. Always check the expiration dates on the pre paid cards, if you buy them in a store that does not sell alot of cards you could end up buying an expired card.

Can I ask a follow up question?

I got my g/f a LG Accolade prepaid and set up auto-pay at $15 every month.

But even $15 a month is more than she uses, so now after a year, my account has a balance of a couple hundred dollars.  Which she will NEVER use.

If I turn off the auto-pay, will the minutes expire at $15 each month?

Or will she lose all the minutes at once since the account will no longer be on auto pay?

If I turn off the auto-pay, will the minutes expire at $15 each month? Yes the $15.00 will stop being taken out of your account BUT if you don't make another payment either through auto pay or through a prepaid card the phone will expire and you will lose all the money in the account. Your allowed to have up to $1,000.00 carried over onto a prepaid account.  If you or your girlfriend have family members who can call any friends long distance you can use some of the money that way or buy games or music for her cell and use some of the money that way. In order to keep the cell phone active you must add $15.00 every 30 days or $30.00 every 90 days, if you use the 90 day plan you would be saving $15.00 every three and money about would not add us as fast. (paying $15.00 every 30 days adds up to $45.00 every 90 days.) So your actually saving money. )  Hope that part makes sense.

Or will she lose all the minutes at once since the account will no longer be on auto pay? She will lose the account all at once. And at the point she will also lose all the money in the account.
