I was wondering, I have a pre paid daily plan where I get charged $1.99 a day for unlimited use daily and my question is, will my service be shut off if my balance is too low?  Or if I don't add money to my account and I have a 0 balance or under the $1.99 they charge you, will they shut my service off for good to where I have to go and buy a new phone and plan?

If your account balance goes down to 0 yes it will be deactived an you will not beable to use it. If you do not renew the minutes with in the 30 day period or what ever or whatever the amount depending on which prepaid card amount you use, the phone will be deactived. If you account falls below the $1.99 but you still have money in the account even though its less than $1.99 your phone will stay active but you will not beable to make or receive a call, what I would do if your balance falls below the $1.99 change your plan to Basic which is 25 cents per minute and don't use the phone for making or receiving calls until you can get more money into your account. You can change your plan up to 4 times in a 30 day period.  You can change your plan online. This does not apply to text messages, except if you don't have enough money in the account when the text package is due.  Hope this helps with your question.

Also, if your prepaid  time expires with money still on the account, the account will be deactivated and you will lose the number. I had over $50 left on my prepaid plan which expired 1 year after I loaded it with $100. It would be nice if Verizon sent a warning that this was going to happen. I lost a number which had been mine for 20 years. What a pain to notify everyone that my number had changed.

Verizon does send you a text message when you have only 3 days left before your due to add more money and then also sends another message the day that your phone needs to be refilled. If you blocked that on the menu then thats the reason you did not get the message. Keeping that on the menu helps to remind you,  I believe in under the security part on the menu.
