I have a prepaid plan and my daughter has a contract phone when I call her she does not get charged for calls to or from me and she has  unlimited. You should not be charged for any verizon to verizon calls it doesn't matter if its prepaid or not.  Have you called customer service? And check the number like Budone suggested. I think thats were the problem is.

Are you pay as you go type or calling plan type. I believe pay as you go us not covered but the calling plan type is.

My cell is prepaid (pay as you go) I have the Core Plan I pay 99 cents per day only on days I use the phone, I can call as many verizon cell phone people I want and there is no extra charge unless I call a non verizon cell or landline.  But my daughter is on a contract verizon plan with unlimited verizon to verizon and 700 minutes for non verizon customers. She is not charged for any calls for calling or receiving calls from me. And it does not go against her 700 minute plan.

I think what you might be referring to is the daily usage fee on prepaid -- not the minutes.  In my experience and observation, any time a prepaid VZW phone account is used for a voice call, as opposed to text or picture messaging (data), it incurs that fee. But the difference is that there is no per-minute charge between Verizon customers for straight mobile to mobile voice calls.

If the other person is on Basic (25¢/min, no daily access charge), however, then the free mobile-to-mobile does not apply in that case; although I could be mistaken on that.
